1. Consideration of clamping force

The lateral clamping force of the mold is relatively small, so for large products with large projection area, the direction of large projection area should be placed on the front and back mold opening and closing direction, and the side projection area is small as the side parting.

2, meet the product stripping requirements

Parting surface is to smoothly remove the mold of the product. Therefore, the position of the parting surface should be selected in the part with the largest section size of the product, which is the most basic principle.

3, the shape of the parting surface

General products often use a parting surface perpendicular to the direction of the mold movement of the injection molding machine, and other shapes of parting surfaces are used in special cases. The shape of the parting surface is based on the principle of easy processing and demoulding. Like a curved product, the parting must be rooted in its bending curvature.

4. Ensure product appearance and quality

Parting surface do not choose the smooth outer surface of the product. In general, the appearance of the surface is not allowed to have the clamp and other affect the appearance of the line; Some products with concentricity requirements have to put all the parts with concentricity requirements on the same side, so as to ensure their concentricity.

5. Determination of orientation

When determining the orientation of the product in the mold, the selection of the parting surface should try to prevent the product from forming side holes or side buckle positions, and the use of complex mold structures should be avoided.

6, conducive to demoulding

The release mechanism of the general mold is in the dynamic mold, so the selection of parting surface should be as far as possible to make the product stay in the dynamic mold after opening the mold. Therefore, for some places that are likely to stick to the mold, we often add a mold auxiliary release mechanism.

7, consider the lateral mold opening distance

Generally, the distance of lateral mechanical mold opening is relatively small. Therefore, when selecting the parting surface, the long direction of the core pulling distance should be selected in the direction of the front and back mold opening and closing, and the short direction should be regarded as the lateral parting.

8, mold parts are easy to process

When selecting the parting surface, the mold should be divided into parts that are easy to process to reduce the difficulty of machining.

9, conducive to exhaust

When the parting surface is used as the main exhaust, the parting surface should be designed at the end of the plastic flow to facilitate the exhaust.

10, R classification

For many products of mold design parting, there is a whole circle of R Angle at the parting surface, and the parting must take into account the R best parting, and the sharp side cannot appear.
