Metal Injection Molding (MIM) is a new manufacturing technology that combines powder metallurgy with plastic forming processes. It involves mixing the selected powder with the binder, then granulating the mixture and injecting it into the desired shape. 

         Polymers impart their viscous flow characteristics to the mixture, which contributes to the uniformity of forming, cavity filling, and powder filling. After forming, remove the binder and then sinter the degreased billet. Some sintered products may require further densification, heat treatment, or machining.

         Sintered products not only have the same complex shape and high precision as those obtained by plastic injection molding, but also have physical, chemical, and mechanical properties similar to those of forgings. In traditional mechanical processing technology, for complex parts, 

          it is usually to first decompose and produce individual parts, and then assemble them; After using PIM technology, it is possible to consider integrating it into a complete single part, which greatly reduces production steps, simplifies processing procedures, saves costs, and improves efficiency. 

          This technical characteristic makes this process technology particularly suitable for the manufacturing of small, precise, three-dimensional complex shapes, and metal components with special performance requirements in large quantities.

      This process technology not only has the advantages of fewer conventional powder metallurgy processes, no or less cutting, and high economic benefits, but also overcomes the shortcomings of traditional powder metallurgy processes such as low density, 

      uneven material, low mechanical properties, difficulty in forming thin-walled, and complex structures. It is particularly suitable for mass production of small, complex, and metal parts with special requirements.
