A punch press is a stamping press. In national production, stamping technology has become increasingly widely used due to its advantages of saving materials and energy, high efficiency, low technical requirements for operators, and the ability to produce products that cannot be achieved by mechanical processing through various mold applications compared to traditional mechanical processing.
(1) The main reason for the rapid wear of the punch is:
① The mold gap is relatively small, and the total gap of Jianhan mold is generally 20% and 25% of the material plate thickness.
② The alignment of convex and concave molds is not good, including insufficient accuracy of mold seats, mold guide components, and turret inserts, resulting in poor alignment of the mold to the fabric.
③ The punch temperature is too high, mainly due to the overheating of the punch caused by the continuous stamping of the same die for a long time.
④ Improper grinding method of the mold blade leads to mold annealing and increased wear.
⑤ Partial unilateral punching, such as step punching, punching angle, or shearing, can cause the punch of aluminum alloy door and window accessories to tilt to one side due to lateral force, reducing the gap on that side and causing severe mold wear. If the installation accuracy of the machine tool mold is not high, it can cause the punch to tilt over the upper mold, causing damage to the convex and concave molds.
(2) Mold material issue
Mold feeding can cause scrap rebound, and its related factors include:
① The sharpness of the mold blade and the larger the rounded corners of the blade, the more likely it is to cause scrap rebound.
② The modulus of the mold is fixed for each upper position of the machine tool, and the modulus of the mold is small, which can easily cause scrap rebound. Mold expert WeChat: mujudaren
③ The gap between the molds is reasonable, and if the gap between the molds is not appropriate, it is easy to cause scrap rebound.
④ Is there a significant amount of oil on the processed sheet surface.
⑤ Spring fatigue damage.
Method to prevent mold from carrying materials:
① Use a dedicated anti belt material die. Aluminum alloy door and window accessories
② The mold is often sharpened to maintain sharpness and demagnetized.
③ Increase the gap between the concave molds.
④ Using oblique blade n molds instead of flat blade molds.
⑤ Install the ejector for the mold.
⑥ Reasonably increase the modulus of penetration of the mold.
⑦ Check the fatigue strength of the mold spring or discharge sleeve.
(3) Mold alignment issues
The mold is prone to varying amounts of wear on each side of the core during use, with some parts having large scratches and rapid wear, which is particularly evident on narrow rectangular molds. The main reason for this problem is:
① The design or machining accuracy of the machine tool turret is insufficient, mainly due to poor alignment between the upper and lower turntables and the mold installation seat The design or precision of the mold cannot meet the requirements.
③ The precision of the guide sleeve of the mold punch is not sufficient.
④ Improper selection of mold gap.
⑤ The mold installation seat or mold guide sleeve is not well aligned due to long-term wear and tear.
To prevent inconsistent mold wear, it is necessary to:
① Regularly use centering mandrel to check and adjust the neutrality of the machine tool turret and installation seat.
② Replace the mold guide sleeve in a timely manner and select a convex and concave mold with appropriate clearance.
③ Using a full lead mold.
④ Strengthen the sense of responsibility of operators, promptly identify the cause after discovery, and avoid causing greater losses.
(4) Use of special forming molds
To meet production needs, it is often necessary to use forming molds or special molds, mainly including bridge shaped molds, louver shaped molds, counterbore shaped molds, hole turning and threading molds, boss molds, stretching molds, combination molds, etc. The use of special or forming molds can improve production efficiency for everyone, but the cost of forming molds is relatively high, usually 4-5 times that of ordinary molds. Mold expert WeChat: To avoid mistakes, Mujudaren should pay attention to and follow the following principles:
① During mold installation, check the direction to ensure that the convex and concave molds of the mold are installed in the same direction.
② Adjust the stamping depth of the mold correctly according to the requirements, preferably no more than 0.15mm per adjustment.
③ Use a lower punching speed.
④ The board should be flat and free from deformation or warping.
⑤ The overhead position of the forming process should be as far away from the clamp as possible.
⑥ When using forming molds, downward forming operations should be avoided:
⑦ When stamping, use a regular mold first, and then use a forming mold.
(5) Mold spring fatigue damage
A problem that is easily overlooked in the use of punch molds is that aluminum alloy door and window accessories are sufficient for the service life of the mold springs, and the mold springs also need to be regularly maintained or replaced. However, many domestic users can maintain the equipment and molds, but often overlook the maintenance of the mold springs.
Some users have not replaced the springs for many years, and the same workstation or mold often suffers damage or stamping with materials, but the cause cannot be found, After replacing the mold spring, the problem was completely resolved. For different punch equipment and molds, the type of mold spring also varies. If not maintained properly, it is easy to cause mold material and may damage the mold or guide sleeve, causing unnecessary losses.
